Clive, I am with you, but unfortunately we live in a society that worship celebrities and violence. It won't change.
Teachers should start salaries in the $100k a year and climb up from there to the amount of years in the job. But it's a dream that will never happen.:(
Beautifully said. I couldn't expound anymore on this wonderful observation. The iPod is against the grain of celebrity and violence thank goodness. Maybe bring us worldpeace eh? :)

A coworker tells me Bertrand wrote Interface Builder as part of his thesis before being hired at NeXT - imagine where Mac and iOS development would be today without him!

Among Samsung's patents that Apple allegedly infringed, there's this one:
Which Apple product uses a trace of stylus???
Newton?
They've been hanging on to this one for a while.

The only thing interesting in this thread is Steve Jobs' health, god bless he is in good condition, hope you get well Steve, and I hope you will feel better in the future and not have any health issues any more.
BTW, Jobs is not interested in peoples location, the media just hypes everything up and if you want absolute privacy, go live in a bunker.

This is really funny. Hello, I would like to introduce myself. I'm the infamous seller! :) How are you guys. It's funny that most people here are laughing about the stupidity of others like myself.
But anyway, this is in no way illegal. I would know, being a student of law. In addition, eBay AND PayPal have sided with me on this matter MULTIPLE times. The only time PayPal sided with the buyer was when they claimed they never got it and I had no shipping proof. The item is accurately described, end of story. Stop crying about it and be more responsible.
Just an ending note, I've made over $2,000 doing this before and used it to buy two amazing Les Pauls. ;)
Thanks!
- Dan
People like you cant make the connection between legal and moral. A good person with a good set of morals does not rely on the law to dictate what they can and can not do. Only a lazy and inconsiderate person bases their life on legal vs illegal.
A law makes something illegal only when its needed, when the morals of the people fail in a certain area and order is needed. Stop relying on the state to dictate your life, and choose to live as a good person regardless of law.
Under that standard, your auction is clearly immoral, evil, deceptive, and all other kinds of wrong. Thats a lot of negative energy coming your way.

Not necessarily. ACT UP was a very aggressive group in the 80's that used that motto to bring attention to the AIDS crisis. I didn't like them or their tactics much at all at the time either. But you know what? It worked. They definitely served their purpose and are responsible for bringing serious attention to HIV/AIDS. Because you know what? Standing up to bullies like social conservatives works.
What doesn't work is letting them walk all over you, like they've been doing for decades. I'm talking about people who, no matter what you do, will NEVER respect you unless you stand up to them. Sometimes, violence is the answer. I'm sorry, but that's just a sad truth. It should always be the last resort, but it is the only answer sometimes. If people like this think you'll never fight back, you'll always lose. Because you know why? They think we're evil. They think we're the enemy. They've dehumanized us to such an extent that they think it's OK to beat the crap out of us, take our rights and even try to take our children. Would you sit still for that? They will never see us as even remotely human. And if we sit there and take it, we'll never get anywhere. These are not people you play nice with, because they won't play nice back. They are going out of their way to hurt us. There is no doubt about that.
Homosexuality was accepted and practiced openly during the Roman Era...which is what most of us here draw roots as a "real civilization". It was when the Christians and Abrahamic religions took over that being gay started to be "outlawed". Prolly has to do a lot with the fact that the "kings" needed subjects to draw loyal warriors and peasants from to keep their land, etc...especially since major factions killed eachother all the time.
Nevertheless, what you are experiencing is the remnance of Christianity's "being fruitful and multiply" efforts. It may take a while for "new thought processes" to reach "the conservatives" out there, but it will get there as these religions start to have less and less control over people's behaviors and even start to die out as we all enter the modern world.
Much of what we believe in to "keep the land" in modern times involves more of a faith in "Capitalism" than faith in "God". And you are right that "gay couples can raise children" too these days with modern technology, but the underlying requirement as with any successful family, is your capitalistic faith and success in it (read: money). But I think that since the US takes much of the brunt of world military efforts, there will still be a need for a large sector of ppl who will sacrifice themselves to "go to heaven". It's no wonder that the USA, although most advanced of the Western world, has the most religious ppl. Which is why "Don't ask, don't tell" has persisted in the military for ages. But I think as we roboticize more warfare in the future, there won't be as much of a need to make religious kids willingly act as cannon fodder so the Military might be more open to gays. Afterall, an extra person in front of a joystick is just as good as an extra person in front of a cash register...regardless of sexual preference. ;)

I'm from the UK, where capital punishement was abolished in 1969. Here in the UK we would love capital punishement to be reintroduced, a life for a life as they say. But it makes me wonder how someone can play god. Of course people who have murdered other people are kind of playing God, but in most cases, these attacks are not pre-planned, and really messy. Most murders are in defence or panic, also a lot of pre-planned. But someone playing God, deciding who lives and dies, I think it's kind of crazy sometimes. How can anyone be allowed to play god, how can 1 human, or 12 humans decide if another human dies in a controlled way. But I do agree that if you take a life, your life should be taken. But it still makes me think lots about it, I was in really deep thought about it a few nights ago. Here in the UK the law is fail, 2 years for killing someone. No common sense here in the UK.

Ugh, I'm glad I gave up on Apple and got an HTC... I was waiting out for the white iPhone 4 and it just never came. 10 months after the launch and I don't think I want one at all now.
I'll get a white iPhone 5... if it doesn't come out on day 1 in white, I won't get one at all, I don't want to be left waiting again.

When it comes to Samsung, Apples out of its league.
Given the terrific success of the pads & phones, this attack on Samsung by Apple is quite out of place.
Any resemblance between a Galaxy and iPhone is to Apples advantage anyway. Yet that said, Jobs has always been highly paranoid.

OK, so I was surfing macbytes and found an article about had to install a trackpad into your iBook *bad idea* So I deleted my AppleADBMouse.kext and replaced it with the trackpad one. I reset and it says it was installed improperly and I can't use my mouse. How do I install this properly and could someone upload another AppleADBMouse.kext for me. It would be a huge help.
Thanks
