First-generation PS2 or GCN stuff. Basic, contrived storyline and archaic production values.

Plain, not plane. Simple level designs with minimal artistic or technical stand-outs. Runs at 60 frames in 480p / 16:9, at least.
4.0 Sound
Generic background music and Banjo-Kazooie-like character blips minus the charm.
5.0 Gameplay
Single-craft missions are usually fun, if shallow. But the formation flying is a bore and a chore.
5.0 Lasting Appeal
The single-player affair won't last gamers too long. There is a two-player mode to come back to, but most won't care.
5.0 Meh OVERALL
"Where have all the good games gone ?" They better start arriving soon cause I'm getting really peeved. :( Even super swing golf seems to have been pulled for euro release disapearing off the radar :(

to be frank, i would wait for the new computer which will have imovie11 bundled. i have no idea what early versions of imovie do to footage on import, but it's probably not nice. If you were using FCP it wouldn't be an issue.
fyi, mpeg4 is h.264 (kind of). h.264 is actually mpeg4 part 10, but the terms are often used interchangeably. Both however, are delivery formats.
I would import as DV since it would be the native tape based format and has less compression.

Custom 10.6.5 made specifically for that model line. As far as I know, there are only 10.6.0 and 10.6.3 retail Snow Leopard disks.

Im getting at my local att store at midnight. Yesterday they said they were getting a shipment in at 8am and 11am. They dont know definite numbers but they said more than last year and they got over 100 3gs last year :eek:

Top-line iMac or base-line Mac Pro?
Hey guys, I'm a video editor that works mostly with RED footage in Final Cut Pro and After Effects. I'm also a gamer running Bootcamp and Steam. I'm currently working on a 3 year old Macbook Pro and looking to upgrade by the end of the year. Here are my choices, I'm wondering if a new top of the line iMac will outperform the current base model of the Mac Pros for gaming and video work... or if the Mac Pro is the way to go.

2TB Serial ATA HD
AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB
$2,304 (Student)
Mac Pro
2.8ghz Quad-Core Xeon "Nehalem"

No question Mac Pro this is the only solution for Video Editing. The Mac Pro will give you the expandability you will need it is a joke trying to do video editing at a pro level or using RED on an iMac. Get the Mac Pro and as you have money buy more drives (RAIDs), and RAM etc. You also give yourself the option of installing pro level capture cards. I will admit that the dual thunderbolt ports makes the issue less clear but not enough for me to alter the recommendation. You may consider waiting for the next gen mac pro with thunderbolt before buying if you want to play it safe.

If you are asking if its apple's style, i would have to say no man. I would change the backgound color to white and find a place to add highlights of silver. Just some suggestions.

It's possible that some of the newer iLife and iWork features will require Leopard.
Also possible that they might announce them all together at a later date, and perhaps even sell a bundle package that includes iLife, iWork and Leopard at a slightly reduced price. I think they might do this just to make iWork more attractive to those that don't buy it now.

Looking for a video surveillance DVR system manufacturer that makes a product which does not require IE to setup or manage. I run OS X and Linux Mint at home. I searched for previous threads but only found 6 year old topics.

Infractions are semi-automated reminders, which the moderators usually use instead of individually written private message to save time, ensure consistency, and to maintain our records. I have seen posts in which people ask about gaming on the mac without windows, using multiple monitors, or thinking of upgrading to a mac pro. None of these accurately describe my problem. I know that mac os x does not support crossfire.
I have a 2009 mac pro. I use os X for everything except gaming. The 5770 does what I need it to do on the mac side. Gaming under bootcamp with windows 7 is not as good as I would like. I will only be using one ACD 27" and no other monitor. I do not wish to put a 2nd PSU in the 2nd optical bay slot.
So, should I order another 5770 and use it in crossfire or sell the 5770 that I have and upgrade to the 5870. As I recall, crossfire is not a mobo thing. If this has been answered before, I apologize in advance.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe the crossfired 5770s would be faster. and it will give you better anti-alasting. Why would you however even consider buying an 5870 it is outdated and expensive as hell compared to some of the newer cards out their. I use a 6870 and it as smooth as butter.

You forgot to add that the iMac has a much much much bigger screen which, besides everything else, is of much higher quality than than any MBA.
OP in every aspect the iMac is the better value for money - faster, bigger screen, more convenient even for trivial tasks like writing and browsing, let alone picture editing. You have to decide whether you need a laptop or a desktop.
I've decided to go for both, as it turned out I cannot give up the ergonomics of a desktop computer while at home.

I was using my case till I bought a Zagg Invisible shield and the case wouldn't fit around the shield, so I had to get a new case, no big deal though.

other Rumors mainly from the survey taken a while back seem's like there will be a Built in netflix app no disc needed more Facebook features First choice beta accesses and cloud service to store online saves etc.
