My lawyer had applied on August 25th for the LCA. We got to know on September 3rd that there was an issue with the FEIN. We emailed the required documents to DOL on September 4th.
My H1 expires on September 30th and consequently my I94 on October 10th, so i'm a bit concerened.
I will post an update when I hear something from DOL.
Just want to confirm that I have till October 10th to get my petition to USCIS. Anyone?
Also, do i have to leave the country by October 10th if I can't get the LCA issue fixed/ petition mailed?

If you are not using EAD why renew it? Unless you are one of the people who applied under the new scheme (free EAD and AP for life), you are just wasting $340 + $305 = $645 (per person).
You can easily wait till you move to new place before applying - if at all you want to apply. If your EAD & AP have expired, I am not sure if the new EAD/ AP will be considered as a "new" application or a "renewal".

My Lawyer sent a letter explaining to port from EB3 to EB2. He attached both the copies of the approved I-140s. btw. my new approved I-140 has the priority date of EB3. Lawyer request to port the PD from EB3 to EB2 at the time of I-140 application.
He also mentioned the A# no.s in the Cover Letter.
Also my Approved I-140 has the A# printed in the beneficiary column.
Hope this helps.

My h1b visa expired in april 2007 and extension was filed in feb 2007. I94 also expired in april 2007. I am thinking as long as u apply aos application within 180 days of being out of status for any reason we are in status.

What if previous employer withdraws approved I140 after changing jobs? In my case it has been more than 180 days after approval of 140/485. Is the PD still portable?

Did you see approved on Jun 25th? In my case, I saw approved on Jun 28th and then pending on Jun 29th. My attorney received approval notice on Jun 28th. I dont know how to make sense of it.
What was the message in your case on Jun 26th? I am seeing that they received my application on Jun 29th and it is pending. It sounds strange.
Online case status shows approval on jUne 27th. But then does it really matter with all this talk of July retrogression?

with all due respect, I really doubt if this is the bet way to get people to donate. Calling people cheap is not a nice thing and generally not recommended.

"If we cannot even contribute $10 a month". There is a clear IF in that statement. And yes after all that IV has done and all the advantage IV members have obtained FREE OF COST just by sitting on the fence (on their behinds), while the core team, who by the way have full time jobs AND families, slogged MORE THAN FULL TIME to get IV's very first goal to be achieved, THEN I say I am FULLY JUSTIFIED in calling those people CHEAP.

I did use my experience in my current company for my I 140 and my I 140 has been approved. I had 2 years of exp prior to joining my company and my LC was for 4 years exp, so I used 2 years of exp from my current company. From your priority date it looks like you have applied using RIR or traditional. I think it is true for PERM that you cannot use the experience of your current company but for RIR or Traditional you can.
So your lawyer is right in saying that you can use your exp with your current company.

Hi all,
I know the Forums are still pretty active but is the IV Organisation itself still active?
I came across the IV website yesterday and was really stuck by the mission statement of the Organisation. I did not think twice - went ahead and got registered and made one time donation. I even voted for one of the polls for Sep 18 rally and making plans to visit DC but only to realise today that it was really old one :) Also when I was reviewing the forums today I realised that most of the activities seem to be around years 2006-2007 - like Fundraising Campaign or Media News ,etc.
Appreciate anyones response to let me know if IC is still active. Please do not direct any personal attacks. I did not need to explore GC info so far since my GC was started only during March of 2010 & got my Lc approved only yesterday.
If the organisation is still active, I am looking forward to joing the CT chapter. Thanks!

Does anyone know what time it may take for FP notices to arrive for guys whose cases were Xfered to CSC?
BTW, does that make any difference if the 485 case has been transferred from another center to TSC? majority of guys who've got the FP notice are straight filters at TSC.

Highest individual score in ODI.

The amazing thing is he still has the drive and enthusiasm to play at the highest level. And play really well!

My company informed me today that, when spouse is added to the insurence, the insurence will start from day 1 of next month. My wife will be comming in the middle of month. How to cover this gap with insurence...?? Any suggestions...????
