why even bother coming out with a white iphone for this year? Does anyone really care anymore?
Because it will make them a ton of money and they want to squeeze money out of any stranglers who are still waiting for it.

I wouldn't buy anything from anybody with that low of a feedback rating in the first place. Hope he is banned and the buyer isn't dumb enough to pay for it.

Ok I see the auction says cancelled by seller. Guess we scared him ;)
yeah for someone who claims to know all the ins and outs, you'd think he would have bragged about the ability to somehow force the high bidder to pay the $5000. But instead he's just crawled back into his toolshed.

Adium, Netnewswire lite, Romeo, KTA Tennis, Mactracker, Poisoned, Skype, VLC, MPlayer...
MS Office :D (oops)
It would be useful (this is not addressed just to you, Amigo) if instead of just listing a bunch of programs you gave a quick description of what each program does, like AL did in his original post. Links would be helpful, as well.

The problem with that is that without a real HDMI connector HD-DVD or Blue-Ray commercial disks will downsample the video due to the DRM restrictions. You have to have an actual HDMI connector on both ends and they have to support HDCP to get a fully digital, full resolution image on any monitor/HDTV.
--laurenceI guess I'm not as much of a purist as some here. I make DVDs off EyeTV digital HD broadcast recordings with Toast 7 and they look and sound very close to the original HD broadcasts on my 24" Dell 1920 x 1200 display. I cannot see much nor hear any difference.
Call me old fashioned but I just don't see why I would want Blu-ray or HD-DVD until they are cost competitive with good old fashioned single layer 4.38 GB DVDs.

That's only 1,258,291.2 gigabytes ... If each customer gets, say, 500 megabytes allocated, that's enough for 2,516,582 customers.
To be safe more like enough for 2.5 million customers @ 500 megabytes (which isn't very high, I would hope for more like 5000 megabytes/5 gigabytes, but then that's only enough for like 251,658 customers).
Point is, they better have another 10+ Pb along the way ...

Is it really necessary to upgrade your phone every time Apple release a new iPhone? Come on... this is ridiculous. I'm STILL on my 3G (no S) and I can finally say I can't wait for the 5th to come out.
I think those who buys the new generation iPhone while they are still under their 2 year contract are dummies. No offense... just wait another year and get an even better phone.

I've just been migrating services off a G5 Xserve running 10.5 Server, to a Mac Pro running 10.6 Server.
It dawned on me it'd be a good idea to get an actual SSL certificate. Because of the lack of funds available, I've gone for PositiveSSL.
Here are the steps I took to get it:
1. In Server Admin > Certificates I chose Generate CSR
2. I pasted this in to Comodo's page and chose Apache + MOD SSL
3. Took the .crt file emailed to me and chose "replace with signed certificate", dropped it on and clicked "replace certificate" (replacing the old, self signed one).
This all seemed to work fine. HOWEVER, the web service doesn't seem to be playing ball with it at all and because of this I'm scared to propagate it around any other services.
These are the errors I'm receiving: (not that Server Admin notices anything wrong!)
[Wed Jan 19 05:59:58 2011] [error] Init: Pass phrase incorrect
[Wed Jan 19 05:59:58 2011] [error] SSL Library Error: 218710120 error:0D094068:asn1 encoding routines:d2i_ASN1_SET:bad tag

The pass pharse thing is stumping me (along with the whole situation) - I saw the box in Server Admin 10.5, but it's gone from Snow Leopard. There's no obvious place for it that I've seen.
Is there any easy how-to guide for actually getting this sorted and having SSL up and running (I'm missing something easy, I bet!) - or anyone with a fair idea of what the next step would be?

As my previous noted, call ATT to make the change until they fix the website process...go to your online account and you'll see the + delineation beside A-List Nation 700 as my attachment shows as of today.

Have you repaired permissions with disk utility? I've never experienced this problem before, you may have to reload the OS (archive and install).

I have each set going down a column. Right now, I just carefully routed the wires around the back and being held by tape. I'm picking up some wire management stuff from Home Depot so it will look cleaner.
But unless someone looks at the back, you really cannot see the wires.
...and switched to all white. :)
What kind of lights? I am totally doing this.

10 months later I really think people should wait a couple of months and buy the iPhone 5 in white... Maybe the improvements aren't big but it still is a new gen...

Fancy having a Keynote dedicated to a gadget that won't be seen until 2008 :( Oh sure the U.S. will get it in June but the rest of the world (and there is one outside folks) won't get a chance to see it until later this year or next. I just don't see the point.
We have been keenly waiting on the details of Leopard only to be kept in the dark. Perhaps Apple Inc has gone the Adobe way. If this is a sign of things to come (and some of us remember the downfall during the Newton) then Apple Inc might want to start learning how to write music instead.
