i doubt apple with update the MB soon, there just wouldnt be enough distinguishing the MB from the MBP if they both got C2D at the same time, mostl ikely it will be like the mini, it will get a small speed bump.
Intel's line doesn't leave much room for a bump... unless Apple is going to use the Core and Core 2 processors as a product differential. Talk about gay considering the two kinds of chips costs pretty much the same.

Don't kid yourself about this "super secret" stuff.Leopard needs some hard work and Apple doesn't care who has it as long as bugs are sent in.Remember the Developer kits?.I had one.The Intel O/S X wasn't supposed to be on any system other than those.
Here comes OSX86Project.org and a couple others OPENLY flaunting installing it on PeeCees.Giving instructions and everything.Apple did nothing about that. They won't do anything about the folks that have it now other than their own employees which gives them bad PR.

Trackpad is larger and provides more space for fingers than the touchscreen would when you're utilizing those gestures. Difference between a swipe and a full-hand pinch.
Maybe you have really abnormally large fingers! :D
A full-hand pinch isn't that hard to do on an iPhone/iPod Touch

There'll no doubt still be some cases of the RRoD, but how bad it will be in comparison to the 'legacy' 360 is what we have to wait for.
Well, technically we will never have a RROD again with this new 360... because it doesn't have red lights. The new console's "Ring of Light" on the front of the console ONLY has green lights. ;)
From Joystiq... (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/16/xbox-360-slim-17-smaller-than-original-incapable-of-rrod-ing/)

True. If only it supported reading usb flash drives, I could abandon my laptop except for syncing. So instead, I got an iPod.

I believe there will be an iphone, but I doubt it will be a smartphone right out of the gate.
Not to be too skeptical, but look at how long and how much R&D goes into current smartphones (especially qwerty ones). There were leaks for MONTHS before the E62, TMobile Dash, Blackberry Pearl, Treo 700p/W/750v/680, HTC StrTrK, etc all came out, because these things don't happen in a total vacuum...all that testing, it's hard to keep tongues from wagging and secret cameras from snapping. And people are certainly on the lookout, so it's not like Apple would fly under the radar.

OK, time to lead your Squad over to the PC forums.
You will have no luck here, with your selective definition of 'Human'.

No. A car that gets 50mpg is likely much lighter than a car that gets 8mpgs... and hence doesn't put near as much wear on the road
Consider, if all cars were the size of a Smart ForTwo, or the awaited ForFour, a two lane road could become 3 lanes. ;)
Trucks and Hummers would just drive down the middle. :D

Well, without looking at 1.5 itself I'm pretty pleased. Seems many of the things the serious users were asking for (esp on Apple's Aperture Discussion forum) are there.
I REALLY hope / expect that Apple improved the keyword DB code - since they now have the offline option, this all had to be rewritten. I'm expecting this to be the MAJOR improvement in Ap 1.5 in terms of usability and speed, and might be the reason that they dropped the supported specs to includer all Mac Intel boxes.
On a related note, I'm VERY happy to see improved keywording and searching, esp the "no" keyword search option. Though a minor thing (compared to offline support), this always drives me nuts in the current version:
Add, maintain, and update keywords more easily using improved keyword management options even lock the Keyword HUD to prevent inadvertent changes...
Quickly find all images with any keyword assigned or with no keyword assigned when searching by IPTC info using the Query HUD...
Search for images by file status i.e., offline, online, or referenced using a new Query option...
Correct spelling, revise wording, or completely delete metadata/keyword entries using the new Autofill Editor.
Finally, iPod integration an interesting new feature that we won't fully appreciate for a while - I wonder why the iTunes store video downloads were upgraded in size recently but no current iPod can take advantage of this new format. I still speculate that we'll see a new larger format Video iPod that can do double duty for us photographers. I'd love to see the ability to Stack and apply exisiting keywording to RAW images int the field via an Ipod:
Sync to iPod: Take your photos with you by using iTunes to sync your entire Aperture library or just selected albums or Smart Albums to iPod.

My old Trek 930 mountain bike is one of the last Treks made in the US before they outsourced most of their production overseas. For a replacement I am looking into US-made bikes.
I have a Japanese car (made in Japan), my previous car was Japanese but made in the US.
I try to buy US-made when I can, and in particular I like to support local or regional products. But at the same time I don't feel guilty about buying foreign-made products. You don't have to be obsessive about "buying American" in order to make a help support domestic producers of goods.
