A person can buy DVD's almost everywhere. They do not need either of these creep shows. I doubt if I have spent a total of $100 combined between them. Wal-Mart (especially) just gives me a totally negative feeling. I will not spend my hard-earned there, regardless of what their prices are.

I frankly fail to see what the deal is with a possible 10.4.1x. I just dont see why people make such a big deal out of nothing. If it comes it comes, if it don't... well then.

Put my pre-order in at Game last night and traded in my Elite & 4 games I'll never be playing again. Plus a Dual Shock 3 controller I was going to replace with the Power A xbox-esque PS3 controller. I was very surprised to see the UK price is �199... which potentially makes it the cheapest price worldwide?

The only way to do it, as far as I know, is to actually go and edit the "Adobe Illustrator Prefs" file (in Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS5 Settings/en_US) with TextEdit.
Use search to find this line: "/maxRecentFiles 10". Below it you will see a list of the recent file represented in a bunch of characters.
What a mess, eh? So much for including a simple "Clear Menu" command in the application, as every true Mac app does. Windows users seem to have it worse, as they have to modify the registry for this (see (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/458899)).

Funny thing, my wife and I were discussing first gen iPad earlier this morning. I told her how Apple had the 16gb refurbished for $349 but that they were sold out. Fast forward four hours or so and I see this story on MacRumors. We both agreed we should jump on this deal. I immediately began calling a few stores in the LA area. Lucky for me, the rep says he has a couple 16gb models remaining. I tell the rep I'll be there within the hour and I hop in the car and drive the 20 miles to the store. Imagine how I felt when he tells me they're all out and that they put 32gb models where 16gb should be. I was livid, but I held my composure and called another store about 10 miles away. I told them my story and insisted they hold it with my name.
When the rep at the second store came out with the box, the first thing he tells me is, "You want a 64gb, right?" I could feel my pulse rising. And then he said, "Just kidding." All I could do was smile, because he got me good and because I just saved 40% off an iPad and didn't even have to use GEICO.

aren't the Sandy Bridge CPUs better with battery life? isn't the MBA supposed to be an ultra portable, thus making battery life the most important aspect of the notebook? at least this is what's most important for me when considering the MBA, so the boost in CPU performance and battery life will cancel out the downgrade in GPU for me.

They're going to realize that the existing machines they have- or Windows machines that can be had for much cheaper- are quite capable of handling any non-classified activity without switching to new hardware.
So wants stopping apple from added drivers to osx to run on what ever hardware that the army has? Or letting them have custom systems or having the use dells / hp / who ever with mac os x?

Oooh... looks like we have the faux small-government types coming in! If you're worried about wasting of money, keep in mind that your government spends way more money on propaganda launched at you and empire-building than it does on the federal trade commission.
In addition, you might read up on this and see that this is really douchebag behavior we're talking about where a publisher has a "free" game for kids and then charges $100 multiple times for "smurfberries". That's pretty slimy behavior. The intention is to get a child who doesn't understand it's not play money to have their parents download the app and put in their password, then use the 15-minute window to rob the parents. The parents are thinking this is some harmless game until they get the bill.
I would call this bad parenting if it didn't involve trickery. Do you really expect a child to understand the difference between play money and real money?
I know, personal responsibility begins at 2, unless you're a CEO.

I am looking for the full schedule for the developer conference. Specifically, I need to know when we will be done on Friday. This will help me book my tickets back to my town. Can someone help me with this? ( If there is another thread specifically about the developer conference, please point me to that as well. )
Friday is usually the miscellaneous sessions day, when the less important (or popular I might say) sessions are held. Of course you can leave whenever you want but Friday is still a full day. I would plan on staying the entire day if you can. Leaving Saturday morning is best as you can relax on Friday :)

They do mention MLB games with this, but how many is unclear as of right now. I would assume, if it is something that you can watch right now on espn3.com (http://espn.go.com/espn3/index) then it will be available on this service. They have been a little light on the details so far, so who knows really. But yes, MLB is listed so it will be there in SOME form.

Works perfectly for me (using Air Video and the latest beta server) since 4.3 came out.
