Sorry... they don't sit in a room and strategize on how to mess with Jail Breakers. Sorry... they don't. They are just trying to address some bugs in the current release and that's a good thing.
Yes... it will probably break the JB... but that is your risk and your decision to JB. So, yes... my original post stands.
LOL that's such an immature comment from yourself.
Of COURSE they are trying to patch up the Jailbreak holes found by the JB community....
Sure they have bug fixes, but rarely will they go "to fix a security hole that allows users to jailbreak"
so no, it's not "PROBABLY" break the JB.... is: it WILL.
He was stating a fact.

I really don't know anything....but....
I think that Apple MAY start selling computers (in what ever form they come) with subscriptions to "iCloud". They can save costs by throwing in a small SSD with enough space for iOS (which will be on all Apple machines by default) and letting users subscribe to the iCloud for space.
All at an amazing discount, much like the iPhone. Millions of users are doing this with their iPhones, not realizing (really) how much their iPhone is costing them over time. $199 just sounds like a great price. Imagine that, but it's an iMac for only $399 and $14.99 for an iCloud account. If you don't want an iCloud account, you pay regular price. This model works well for the iPhone.
You can always get local space, by buying your own hard drive and adding it.
I really don't know, but this idea came to me. I'm interested in seeing how MobileMe is going to change this year and if Apple comes up with something like this.
Go Apple!

....What I want to know is how exactly you expect businesses to grow jobs, expand operations, etc. in this type of situation. It seems fairly clear based on the facts that A) this wouldn't be near enough money to solve the problem B)that the end result in the long run will almost certainly be less growth, fewer jobs, and less government 'revenue' than before. C) that you'd kill what chance we have left at regaining a strong economy as large businesses would do whatever they could to get their assets in locations of lower tax burden.
You're mixing income tax with corporate or business taxes. I know that some small businesses mix the two, but most keep these incomes separate. With this in mind, how would a tax increase on the top one percent or 25 percent hurt businesses?
You indicated that the rich weren't paying their 'fair share.' I responded by pointing out that the top 50% of wage earners pay 95% of the tax burden. ...
Can you point me to a time in history where lower taxes led to more growth?...
...If 90 people make $1,000 each, and 10 people make $50,000 each and they were evenly taxed on income, you'd still have 10% of the people paying 84.7% of the taxes. Is that unfair? No, it's not. Not in the slightest. And once you take out even a basic cost-of-living exemption, which should be the start of any tax system, that number would increase dramatically. Like, just over 95% maybe?
Fivepoint, can you address both of these questions?
The second is a good metaphor for taxation, those who hold the most wealth should also pay the highest taxes and will, as a consequence of basic math, pay a larger percentage of their income. This is 'fair' in a progressive system.
Also, while I agree that the deficit needs to be dealt with, I'm concerned that a breakneck reaction will cause more harm than it's worth. If your check oil light comes on, you don't immediately slam on the breaks and abandon the car in the weeds. Rather, you calmly slow down, pull over, access the fluids, and make new decisions.

I've owned my SB (2011) MBP for over a month now. I have yet to use the Thunderbolt port and wished many times that it had USB3.0 support. Are there any Thunderbolt adapters available on the market yet? TB to USB 3.0 would be great. Alternatively a docking station would be cool. Anything besides the one LaCie drive?

Maybe the reason they didn't bring it up was because they are working on a new feature (ie new maps or turn by turn gps built into the next iOS; they did mention it was to collect data for something like that), but now that the media has blown it out of proportion, they had to come out and address it. At least, that's what I'm assuming Apple's point of view was.

Are you sure it was FCP and not just the generic NLE layout you saw?
They wouldn't use both - if they were using MC, the only other app they might export to would be Scratch.
Also, he's technically correct: Benjamin Button's budget was $150 million.
Now you made me doubt myself, gonna go check the bluray. :)
And about Button, ah so I suppose the extra 50 mil makes you go AMC. :)
Edit: Checked the blu ray, I stand corrected they are using Avid. When I saw the Apple keyboards and Apple Cinema displays with OS X background all over the place, I must have automatically assumed it was FCP. Why would they use macs for AMC though?

Can someone recommend me a simple GeekTool CPU usage script?
And that's a 1TB drive that's 90% full  Can't wait for the new 1.5TB drives to hit the market!

Apple probably knows how many people buy iPhones so late in the release cycle, and they obviously still decided that it was worth releasing the white version at this time. I think that this might actually make quite a lot of people buy a white one now rather than wait for the iPhone 5, which isn't even guaranteed to appear in June.

It was just a joke in response to the "tyrannical digital overlords" comment
If you think anyone is abusing their "power", report it, and if you're right we'll soon be demoted.
Don't worry, he's promised to be a good boy. And he knows that he has to keep it clean.
DHaha yea, I know, all in good fun. :p
I'm sure all new positions will be honorably filled :D

No, you said (above) that men would "stop the sexual assaults".
Yes, men should stop. And to prevent sexual assault women should dress in a classy way. I hope you're getting my point.

Which is kind of hard on such a restricted and limited platform. There would be more useful software for the iPad if it ran a 'real' operating system like Mac OS X -- meaning full file system access and not being tied into ONE App Store with arbitrary rules for what a program is allowed to do.
Computing is changing.

Hes already said if he could, he would gladly offer an upgrade price for 1.x users.. but thats not on him. Thats Apple and the app store.
He also said "Either I release it [Tweetie 2] completely for free and don't make any more money, or I charge $2.99 for everyone and piss off all the existing customers.
