And what makes Lesbians likable? In my town they are busy ranting about how men are evil and stupid.
So cliche.
I guarantee those are the straight women, who actually have to spend time with men. ;)
Us lesbians don't have to deal with that crap. The man-hating lesbian was created by egotistical straight men who couldn't believe that a woman would choose another woman over a man.

I would agree that you should start raising your rates to attract a higher calibre of clientele. If you have existing clients that you enjoy working with that you don't want to annoy by suddenly raising your prices on them, you can always offer them a "preferred client" rate or some such.
As for the annoying micromanaging client, perhaps that's when you set up something like WordPress and pass it along for them to update themselves?
I'm also curious as to the rule against working for religious organizations. (I'm not a designer for hire, but I do a lot of design and web work for a charity I volunteer with, which is indeed a religious organization). Is it because they're always on the cheap? Are they more demanding than your usual clients? Help us avoid making the classic mistakes :)

I believe you are all missing the point.
The studios want HDCP over DVI and HDMI or whatever. There are no current systems that properly use it, even if they say they do, because the licenses or permissions have not been distributed yet and they are HARDWARE objects.
HARDWARE is Apple's forte.
I suspect iTV is actually a series of devices that properly implement HDCP to suit the studios that demand seamless and enforceable content protection. As mentioned, mainly to protect the asset of a time sensitive and expensive major movie release.
There are really only two premium price revenue timeframes for movies. A few weeks after theatrical release and a few months after DVD (now online) release. They simply want to protect the "premiumness" of the price.
Apple does that in computers with methods to try to prevent installation and proper use of OSX on any computer but an Apple. It mainly works.
So I suspect we will see a "new" video iPod and iTV as a breakout box for your existing TV, and iTV enabled LCD TV's in the "media release".
Then no studio will hesitate.

It's all perspective. The biceps are closer to the camera than the hands. This is why, when taking pictures of fish, you always extend your arms toward the camera.
Is that where the expression "scaling up the size" is derived from?
I hope to find a blood session this month [last bled in December] but haven't tried taking a picture of myself before.
I have a video of my wife getting a cannula inserted recently (and another one of my daughter having one removed) if any one wants to see some BIG needles. :D

iPulse (http://www.iconfactory.com/ip_home.asp) is a nice little app. I use it as a clock/system monitor.
"Using its concise and pleasing user interface, iPulse graphically displays the inner workings of Mac OS X on the desktop or in the dock. The entire user interface is completely configurable so you can turn off gauges you don't want, leaving only what you are interested in for easy viewing."

On a side note, I wonder whether Apple violates competition rules. When I remember correctly, the iPad had a considerable market share on the tablet market. One could argue that Apple abuses its market position to impose their own (unfair) conditions on publishers.
No, they don't.

Damn.... Sir Serlet had a best accent ever.
"REDMOND START YOUR PHOTOGRAPHERS. IT WAS ONLY A JOKEEE, BUT THEY ACTUALLY TOOK IT SERIOUSLY."
Craig has no accent! Get an accent, Craig.

Coming from an Apple / Mac Fan and non iPhone or iPodTouch kind of Guy & Girl, I sure Hope Apple keeps Sharp on Macs... I was at my 1st and 5th Grader's Parent - Teacher Conference at Chautauqua Lake Central School on 11/18/10 and there were 3 or 4 Macs in each Home Room... I got to believe Steve knows that if they get the Kids Hooked on Apple that they'll be an Apple Buyer for iLife.... We are also ProSumer kind of FCP people and Love our Mac versus the Windows world... Get Your Kids Hooked on iKidsFishing and not on Drugs leads to an Apple a Day keeps the Doctor away... Get it...? I hope Steve does.... Cheers & Hang Loose... Peter

It seems like Serlet is more of an independent worker who *thinks different* where as Craig is a hardworker but would just "follow." Not making a cheap shot, they're both really good at what they do, just an (maybe wrong) assumption of mine.
In any case, sad to see Serlet go.Definitely a WRONG ASSUMPTION OF YOURS. Did you even READ the article? It said:
Serlet will be replaced by Craig Federighi, currently Apple's vice president of Mac Software Engineering and who has led Mac OS X engineering for the past two years. Federighi is another former NeXT and Apple employee who spent ten years at Ariba before returning to Apple in 2009. Serlet notes that the transition should be seamless given Federighi's role in leading the current Mac OS X team.
The Dude is LEADING THE TEAM... FOR TWO YEARS! And you're saying he's the kind that just follows. Lame, dude. And btw, they all FOLLOW over at Apple. They follow Steve Jobs. He's the only one who is doing his own thing.
Here's what I wonder,... if Federighi has been leading the OS X team, what has Serlet been doing? Maybe his role was no longer needed and "decided to move on to explore other opportunities" ---- this might be a "saving face" move.

This tracking stuff is all the Apple haters fault. All the non-iPhone owners are the one's making a big deal about it. Can't wait to buy a white iPhone tomorrow so Apple can track 2 phones I own.

What, did Apple think that Verizon customers would warmly welcome someone who shunned them for 4 years? The customer is most important, shouldn'thave signed that exclusive contract with AT&T... relly stunted their growth in the CDMA market, people move on too...
But real Apple people don't move on. They wait. They aren't normal consumers.

This is another reason why I will likely just transfer my number to Google Voice for $20 + cancellation fees without losing my number. Currently my cost would be about $100 total for the change on top of a contract price of $299 (for 32GB model), so $399 instead of $549.

I can't really give any advice here because if I were you, I wouldn't have been okay with him having sex to begin with...
I guess the question is this: Are you okay with the fact that your son is having sex? If the answer is yes, then fine, he can sleep over at his girlfriend's. If the answer is no, then no he cannot go, but you should also be having a discussion with your son about how you feel about the subject.

Also, while I agree that the deficit needs to be dealt with, I'm concerned that a breakneck reaction will cause more harm than it's worth. If your check oil light comes on, you don't immediately slam on the breaks and abandon the car in the weeds. Rather, you calmly slow down, pull over, access the fluids, and make new decisions.
Yes, I wonder what will happen when SS and Medicare get slashed. What will all the retirees who live with these two programs do? I guess they will have to go back to work. Some 85-year-old frail granny out pushing a lawnmower or something. Truth is, she should have planned her life better.
